Graphic and Sound Settings

  • Before you start adjusting your graphics settings, please make sure you close all other programs to avoid any loss of data due to any unwanted occurences.
  • To access your in-game graphic settings, just click on the >> icon on the bottom right of the screen, then click on the PC icon. This will be the first page of the settings screen.

Here's a bit of explanation regarding the settings:

Overall Performance Settings - This will automatically preset your graphic settings based on overall level. There are 5 levels of settings from low detail (max performance) to max detail (lowest performance)

Screen Resolution - Let's you select game resolutions supported by your video adapter

Windowed/Fullscreen - Let's you switch between windowed or fullscreen mode.

Aspect Ratio - Switch between normal or widescreen 16:9 ratio

Brightness - Screen brightness setting

Screenshot Quality - Adjust the level of detail or quality for screenshots only. The higher the quality, the larger the filesize will be.

View Distance - How far or how much of the landscape you can see at any one time. A further view distance will decrease system performance.

Water Surface Effects - Adjust the level of water effects such as ripples, waves, quality. From no effects to maximum.

Water Reflection On/Off - Set the water reflection effect on or off.

Tree Details - Set the detail level of trees. From low detail to maximum. Details include number of trees, leaves..etc.

Grass Details - Set the detail level of grass. From low detail to maximum. Details include amount of grass, mass...etc.

Cloud Details - Set the detail level of clouds. From low detail to maximum. Details include number of clouds, intensity, movement..etc.

Ground Details - Set the detail level of the ground. From low detail to maximum. Details include ground texture, bump mapping...etc.

Shadows - Turn shadow effects on or off

Blur Effects - Turns the infamous blurry effects on or off

Reverse Axis - Let's you reverse the camera axis if you desire

Sun/Moon Lighting Effects - Turns the game's sun and moon's lighting effects on or off such as solar flares...etc.

Texture Quality - Set high texture quality on or off.

Texture Sharpness - Set high texture sharpness on or off.

Music Volume - Set volume of in-game background music.

Sound Effects Volume - Set volume of in-game sound effects music.

Sound Quality - Adjust the level of sound quality/bitrate.

There are a few buttons above the HP/MP bar which you can use to adjust certain graphic features. The left-most button is the button to set your graphics to the optimal/lowest setting for maximum performance. The the next is to set it view only very nearby non-NPC characters or players.
